The City of Hod Hasharon, Israel and the Village of Scarsdale, New York present via Zoom a shared commemoration of the Holocaust in a program called “A Conversation Across Communities.”
The program is co-sponsored in New York by Scarsdale Synagogue Temples Tremont & Emanu-El, the Westchester Jewish Council, and the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center, and in Israel by Kehilat Yonatan.
The keynote speaker is a fascinating 92-year-old woman, Chanita Rodney. Chanita is a Holocaust survivor who was on the last Kindertransport from Germany to England and was adopted by a childless couple in the UK. Her story is compelling – one of strength, vitality and hope.
