”It is with great pleasure that we welcome Helene to our Board,” said Daniel Weinreb, HHREC Board Chairperson. “She brings a tremendous level of insight and experience to our organization, and enthusiasm for our work. We are delighted to have her join us in our effort to promote education about the Holocaust and human rights at this critically important time.”

HHREC works with teachers and students to help schools fulfill the New York State mandate that the Holocaust and other human rights abuses be included in their curriculum. Since 1994, HHREC has brought the lessons of the Holocaust, genocide and human rights violations to more than 3,000 teachers, and through them to thousands of students. Their programs enrich teachers’ knowledge about the Holocaust and related issues and also provide the lens through which to view all other human rights violations.
