HHREC Secures Program Funding From Government Leaders

The Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center (HHREC) is pleased to announce funding we secured in this year’s state budget thanks to the support of the Westchester legislative delegation. This includes $100,000 in funding from the delegation and an additional $65,000 from Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins. These resources will help HHREC expand its programs that promote human rights, combat antisemitism, and ensure that the lessons of the Holocaust continue to reach new generations across Westchester and beyond.

“We are proud of securing this critical funding for the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center at such a critical moment,” said New York Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins. “At a time of rising antisemitism and hate, I remain deeply committed to supporting efforts that confront bigotry and strengthen tolerance in our schools and communities. HHREC’s mission to educate future generations about the Holocaust and human rights is more urgent than ever, and this investment will ensure their essential work continues to make a lasting impact across Westchester and beyond.”

Assemblymember Chris Burdick said, “HHREC is a tremendous partner in the fight against antisemitism and all forms of hate. This investment reflects our commitment to strengthening HHREC’s reach and supporting their educational programs and outreach.”

Assemblymember Amy Paulin said, “The Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center plays a vital role in ensuring that future generations understand the consequences of hate and the importance of human rights. I am proud to join with my colleagues to deliver this funding, and I congratulate HHREC on its continued leadership in our community.”

HHREC thanks Leader Stewart-Cousins, Assemblymember Burdick, Assemblymember Paulin, and the entire Westchester legislative delegation for their ongoing commitment to our important work.
