HHREC 7th Annual Middle School Institute
We were very pleased at the tremendous response from area schools to our 7th annual Middle School Institute, as our Co-Director of Education Julia Scallero worked closely together with them on this program to promote awareness of human rights issues and help empower students to take action in their schools. A special thank you to our good friend Sheila Arnold, CEO and Lead Performer of History’s Alive! for her incredibly moving speech and impersonation.
Thank you to our participating schools, including: Albert Leonard Middle School in New Rochelle, Briarcliff Middle School; Denzel Washington School of the Arts in Mt. Vernon; Dobbs Ferry Middle School; Eastchester Middle School; Fieldstone Middle School; The French American School; the German International School; H.H. Wells Middle School, Highlands Middle School, Isaac E. Young Middle School ; Pleasantville Middle School; Port Chester Middle School; and Woodlands Middle School. Despite the continuing challenges of the pandemic, we really appreciate the support from these schools to help us connect with their students about important issues like this!
